Concepting

Concepting is the heart of all creative advertising. It’s the process of developing “the big idea” that will help your advertising message to break through the media clutter and motivate your prospects to action. A good concept should guide the voice, the theme and the attitude of your communications effort. It’s the creative glue that holds an advertising campaign together. Concepting is the fun side of advertising. But at Redemann Creative it’s also very serious business. So, while the creative concepts that we develop for you will captivate and entertain your audience, they’ll also deliver your message in a powerful way. They’ll advance your marketing strategy and produce results for you.

MCTS – “Take the First Step”
TV campaign

According to research commissioned by the Milwaukee County Transit System, many commuters don’t ride the bus simply because they don’t know how. And therefore they’re afraid to try. So Dave Redemann channeled that fear into the irreverent television campaign presented here.

Starting with the concept that the bus is an easy remedy for a bad habit, these commercials employ an empathetic, reassuring tone normally reserved for drug and alcohol clinic advertising. Filmed documentary style, they chronicle the tale of a contrite commuter named Eric as he discovers the bus.

Zoo Pass – “My Dad”
radio campaign

The Zoo Pass is a tremendous value for families with children, so moms are always the main target audience of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s annual marketing campaign. It was with that in mind that Dave Redemann formulated the concept for these radio spots, turning to his own family for inspiration.

A precocious young girl serves as the campaign’s main spokesperson, narrating the misadventures of her hapless dad as he bumbles around the Milwaukee County Zoo. In the process, the two promote the zoo's premiere features and attractions with humor and charm.

Master Lock – “Crime Fighters”
print campaign

Master Lock manufactures a line of heavy duty locks for commercial and industrial facilities, designed for a wide assortment of specialized applications. It dawned upon Dave Redemann that these aren’t ordinary padlocks. They’re serious crime fighters, each one with its own, unique super power.

So who better to recruit for the print advertising campaign than the world’s most famous crime fighters? The resulting series of ads, driven by the crime fighter concept, made a mighty impact in industry trade publications. It also garnered creative kudos from Adweek and Advertising Age magazines.
